Parenting your gifted or twice-exceptional child
Strength-Based Parenting Workshop for Parents of Gifted and Twice-Exceptional Children
Raising gifted or twice-exceptional children can be challenging, especially in a system focused on deficits and remediation. Our 8-week workshop and discussion group provides a space to explore strength-based approaches, build awareness of your child’s unique abilities, and connect with other parents who understand the joys and challenges of raising neurodivergent children.
Over the eight weeks, we will explore:
Characteristics of giftedness, twice-exceptional children, and neurodiversity
Overexcitabilities and intensities
Communication and relationships
Strength-based parenting strategies
Building awareness and developing your child’s strengths
These sessions are designed to empower families to celebrate their children’s strengths while providing guidance, support, and community for parents navigating similar experiences.
